Efren had these kind words to share of his time as the Royal Chapter’s President: "I'd like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to many housing professionals I've met and worked with here in Europe–thank you for all the support and wonderful times we’ve done together in all the activities we have been involved with. I am honored for the opportunity to serve the PHMA European Region as President of the PHMA Royal Chapter #63." 18 March 2009 Chapter Meeting: The Royal Chapter members hosted a dinner at the Tuddenham Mill Hotel. The guest speaker for the event was Dr. Jack Gaffney from AFIT. Dr. Gaffney was at Lakenheath presenting the three day Asset Management Course, attended by over 45 individuals from all aspects of Asset Management, and had kindly agreed to update the group on the training opportunities offered by AFIT. Dr. Gaffney and his team are re-developing classes due to the new Asset Management structure in conjunction with the responsibility of including all Housing related courses which now fall under the purview of AFIT. The available classes are found on the AFIT Web site. Dr. Gaffney briefed that the opportunity to conduct the AM Course in the United Kingdom, with so many of the Asset Management team members throughout Europe, provided individuals to hear the latest and greatest on the Civil Engineers transformation while cutting the costs of travel and per diem costs associated with traveling to AFIT.
