TUITION REIMBURSEMENT

PHMA Continuing Education Tuition Reimbursement Program

The PHMA Continuing Education Tuition Reimbursement Program is designed as an incentive for PHMA Members to pursue job-related and career-related financial education support.

Key Elements of the Program

PHMA will award up to $6,000.00 in continuing education financial grants per year (decided on a first come first serve basis, dependent on eligibility). The maximum in annual financial help per PHMA Member is $500.00 for a single course per calendar year. This program is available to all current PHMA members who have been in good standing for 2-years prior to applying or have been working half-time or more in the field of military housing.

Grants are available to PHMA members for course work that is categorized as either job-related or career-related.

Job-Related Course Work:



Supports or improves skills required for job assignments, duties or
responsibilities.

Career-Related Course Work:

Prepares for advancement with the member’s title or occupation.
Develops the member’s administrative or management capacity.
Necessary to obtain a degree to qualify for job opportunities.

Application Process and Rules
Applications accepted for classes completed in the last three months or classes completed in the next three months. Reimbursement received for tuition for one class per Member every calendar year, up to $500.00 (cannot exceed total sum of expenses for tuition, books and fees). Grade Report for the class is required (must have the college or institute indicated or you may submit a school transcript). Failure to pass the class will result in returning the total sum of expenses for tuition, books and fees to PHMA. You will be ineligible for grants through the next calendar year.

Exclusions and Limitations

Courses ineligible for the PHMA Continuing Education Enrichment Program are:



Job-related or career-related lectures, meetings, conferences and learning obtained outside the classroom.
Examination preparation classes.
Credit courses taken on an audit basis.
Recreation, physical education, hobby or personal interest courses of study.



PHMA members on full-time paid leave while at school are not eligible for this program but may be eligible for the Annual PHMA Scholarship.
